CONSULTING
Working with businesses and non-profits in the areas of clinical supervision, training, curriculum development, facilitation of retreats and strategic planning meetings as well as program development are my areas of expertise. Utilizing an approach which focuses on solutions and encourages people to participate in identifying the solutions is the cornerstone of my consulting work. Using humor and creating an environment in which people are able to work collaboratively towards a common goal is also part of what I provide.
Facilitation
An effective facilitator can make or break the effectiveness of a meeting. I would love to help with facilitating your team building, staff retreats, and strategic planning meetings. To provide continuity I can then work with leadership teams to ensure the goals of these activities are accomplished. By using creative group exercises, and humor, I can create safe spaces for staff to be creative and have fun.
Training
If you need assistance in writing curriculum or delivering existing training, I can help. In the past I worked on the Casey Family Services curriculum for youth in foster care. I also developed my own training on Engaging Families in the Process of Change and Interviewing from a Strengths Perspective. The training I deliver offers adult learners a variety of ways to incorporate the material provided into their daily work. I use a variety of learning styles and humor to keep the audience engaged.
Coaching
Once your staff is trained, how do you know they are demonstrating the skills learned in training? I provide coaching to managers, supervisors, and staff from a non-judgmental and supportive lens. My coaching includes a prescribed number of sessions for the employee and a follow-up meeting with their manager to discuss progress. Areas of coaching include managing conflict, addressing employee behavior successfully, and helping staff implement a trauma focused and solution focused approach.
Clinical Supervision for Licensure
Working with individuals who need clinical supervision hours to become fully licensed is something I enjoy. For agencies with multiple staff looking to become fully licensed, I can provide group and individual clinical supervision. My approach with both groups and individuals is to work from a strengths perspective and to provide insight on how to work with people from a trauma responsive and trauma informed place.
Program Development
If you have received grant money to begin a new program or want to propose a program idea to obtain grant money, my agency will be a good fit for this work. Working in the field of mental health and child protective services has given me a great deal of experience in this area. Identifying and implementing creative and evidence-based practices to serve children, families, or individuals is a core competency of my agency.
